Course Overview

The department of B.Sc. Microbiology offers a three-year undergraduate programme in Microbiology which seeks to impart, within the students, an understanding of the fundamental elements within biological organisms. The program imparts a comprehensive knowledge of biology with a particular focus on microbes such us bacteria, fungi, viruses, algae, immunology etc. This discipline is an interrelated study of other disciplines such as Biochemistry, Physiology, Cell Biology, Ecology, Evolution and Clinical Aspects of Microorganisms and develops within the students an understanding of host response to these agents. Our expert teaching faculties, not only prepare our students to analyse the past and present discoveries, but also train them to embark on pioneering new innovations. The department uniquely focuses in the shaping and developing of the students’ industrial skillsets and also prepares them to navigate the career landscape competencies.
